Muse
Meta's personal AI agent, launched in the US on September 8, 2026 through the Muse app and WhatsApp. Every Muse user gets a Muse Secure VM: a dedicated, persistent Linux computer in the cloud with a full browser and filesystem that you and your Muse share. It connects to email, calendar, payments and more. (The product is called Muse, not "Metamuse".)
✓ Last verified October 15, 2026 from official sourcesMuse app (personal agent): Free with a usage limit; Power $20/mo; Maximum $100/mo. US limited testing. Muse Wonder model pricing is separate — see Muse Wonder below.
- Consumers who live in WhatsApp
- Personal errands and scheduling
Muse Secure VM per user (isolated Linux cloud computer). Credentials and approvals sit outside the agent runtime. Reuters reported internal concerns about sensitive-data handling at launch, so review permissions carefully. Skill level: Beginner.
What it's great at
- Personal errands across connected apps
- Scheduling and email in WhatsApp
- Work that needs a real browser and files on Muse Secure VM
What it can do
- Takes actions through Connectors and asks for confirmation before important actions like sending email or buying
- Muse Secure VM: a dedicated, persistent Linux cloud computer per user, with a browser and filesystem (included for every Muse user)
- Can write its own connectors for services with APIs
Muse Wonder (the model)
Announced October 12, 2026, Muse Wonder is Meta's frontier model series — Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full — built for personal and professional agents, long coding jobs and computer use. Think of it as the brain. Muse Secure VM is still the computer: the persistent Linux cloud PC every Muse user already gets.
Status today: generally available. Muse Wonder is on the Meta Model API and in Muse Code (Meta's coding product). Muse Wonder Full is only on Muse Code's Power ($50/mo) and Maximum ($200/mo) plans — those are Muse Code prices, not Muse app prices.
Meta says Muse Wonder will soon power experiences in the Muse personal agent app, rolling out first to Muse subscribers (Muse app plans stay Free / Power $20 / Maximum $100). Separate API pricing for Muse Wonder is about $4 per million input tokens and $20 per million output tokens ($0.20 for cached input), with a 1M-token context window.
Example tasks to try
- "Find a time with Sam next week and send the invite."
- "Remind me to pay the electric bill and draft the email to the landlord."
Start in 5 minutes
- Get the Muse app or open Muse in WhatsApp (US only for now)
- Connect just one service at first
- Keep confirmations on for anything that sends or buys
Watch out for
It's new and US-only, and it can reach sensitive accounts, so review connector permissions. Muse Wonder is not yet the default brain in the Muse app for everyone — Meta says it will roll out to Muse subscribers first.
